Feminism: Gegen Dominanzkultur / Against a Culture of Dominance - mit/with Birgit Rommelspacher
Podcast from 10.4.2026 (podcast here)
/🎓 Birgit Rommelspacher (1945–2015) in conversation with Christoph Burgmer. Birgit Rommelspacher was a psychologist and educationalist. She coined the term ‘culture of dominance’. The women’s studies scholar used this to describe discrimination against minorities. Rommelspacher illustrates this using the example of the Islamic headscarf. To this day, parts of the women’s movement advocate women’s emancipation solely within the framework of Western culture.

URGENT: We would like to draw attention here to the Iranian women’s rights activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate (2023) Narges Mohammadi (born 1972), who was sentenced in February 2026 to a further seven-and-a-half-year prison term on charges of conspiracy.
